Barks & Bubbles Policies

At Barks & Bubbles, your pet’s comfort and safety come first. Please review our grooming policies before your appointment so you know what to expect and how we keep our salon safe, efficient, and stress-aware for every dog.

Appointments

Appointments are reserved specifically for your pet. New clients may be asked to complete intake information and provide vaccination records before their first visit. A card on file or deposit may be required for certain appointments, including new clients, or repeat late cancellations.

Vaccination Requirements

Dogs must be current on required vaccinations before receiving grooming services. Proof of rabies vaccination is required, and additional vaccines such as DHPP and Bordetella may be requested based on salon policy. We may ask that appointments be scheduled at least 24 hours after vaccinations are given.

Health and Behavior

Owners must inform us of any medical, physical, or behavioral issues before the appointment. If a pet is aggressive, excessively stressed, or unsafe to groom, services may be stopped, modified, or refused for the safety of the pet and groomer.

Arrival and Pickup

Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrivals may need to be rescheduled and may be treated as a late cancellation depending on how late you arrive. Prompt pickup is required once your pet is ready, and late pickup fees may apply after a grace period of one hour.

Cancellations and No-Shows

We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations, same-day cancellations, and no-shows may result in a fee of $25. Repeat missed appointments may require prepayment before future services are booked.

Matted Coats

Matted coats can be painful and may require a shorter haircut than requested. We will always choose the safest and most humane option for your pet, and de-matting or shave-down services may result in additional charges. Coat condition can affect both the final style and price of the groom.

Puppies, Seniors, and Special-Needs Pets

We welcome puppies, senior dogs, and special-needs pets when it is safe to do so. These pets may need shorter sessions, more breaks, modified services, or additional handling support, which may affect pricing.

Fleas, Ticks, and Contagious Conditions

Please notify us before your appointment if your dog has fleas, ticks, lice, or any contagious skin condition. If parasites are discovered during grooming, we may stop the service, require immediate pickup, and apply a sanitation fee.

Safety

Your pet’s wellbeing is our priority. We reserve the right to use humane handling methods, safety equipment, and service modifications as needed. In the event of an emergency, we will attempt to contact you immediately and seek veterinary care if necessary.

Pricing

All grooming quotes are estimates. Final pricing may vary depending on coat condition, size, behavior, time required, de-matting, special handling, flea treatment, or add-on services.

Photos

We may occasionally take photos of pets for grooming records or marketing. Please let us know if you do not want your pet’s image used on our website or social media.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged. Unpaid balances must be resolved before future appointments can be scheduled.

Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse, stop, or reschedule any grooming service if we believe it is unsafe, inhumane, or not in the best interest of the pet or staff.
